From the family, Amaryllidaceae, having common name(s) associated with the genus; Spider Lily, Surprise Lily, Hurricane Lily, Resurrection Lily, Magic Lily, Naked Ladies.

Seed collected from a population. The image is only representative of the MOTHER species. One of the spring foliage Lycoris. A wonderful surprise of white to off-white trumpet flowers borne on tall flower stalks in late summer to early autumn. A good choice for a hardy white Lycoris species. Ht. 24-30 inches. Hardy in zones 5, 6, 7, 8.

Seed collected from general Lycoris longituba population. These are Open Pollinated seed, meaning only the mother genus is clearly known. Any number of other species or varieties may have contributed pollen. Each seedling will be unique and not exactly like the mother parent, even if resulting from self-pollination.
