Flowers large, 4-6 inches across, in a wide range of colors, including red, pink, orange, yellow, white, or bicolored, mostly with purple spots in the center. Individual flowers do not last longer than a day, but are succeeded by others over a period of 1-2 weeks. Leaves narrowly lanceolate and pleated. Summer-flowering. Tender. Ht. 32-50 inches.
