Araceae, having common name(s) associated with the genus; Voodoo Plant.
(syn. S. guttatum; Arum cornutum) From gardens. Flowering before the leaves in late spring, peduncle very short, spathe tube 2-4 inch long, about 1 inch across. Spathe appendix as much as 30 inches long, purplish below, green above with large, irregular dark purple spots. Leaf stalk about 20 inches long, carrying a roundish solitary leaf, devided into many lobes and segments. Tender.
