Amaryllidaceae, having common name(s) associated with the genus; Crape Flower, Japanese Spider Lily.
Flowers 8 to 12, fuchsin-pink, margins of the petals much crisped, contrasting the plum-colored anthers. Leaves appearing after the flowers, generally 4, to 18 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. Best grown under glass for good flowering. Tender. Ht. 10-18 inches.
