Amaryllidaceae, having common name(s) associated with the genus; Milk Lily, Orinoco Lily, Milk and Wine Lily.
Flowers 5 to 10 in an umbel, white, funnel-shaped, opening out 12-18 inches across. Tube 3-4 inches long, greenish. Leaves 12 or more, strap-shaped, up to 4 inches wide. Tender. Ht. 18-24 inches.
