One of the winter foliage Lycoris. A wonderful surprise of red, frilled flowers borne on 12-18 inch flower stalks in late summer. The most well-known and cultivated of the Lycoris species, this variety is fertile and slightly more tender than Lycoris radiata var. radiata. Ht. 12-18 inches. Hardy in zones 7, 8, 9, 10.
Open Pollinated, meaning only the mother parent is clearly known. Any number of other species or varieties may have contributed pollen.
Each seedling will be unique and will only look similar to the mother parent if resulting from self-pollination or cross-pollination WITHIN species.
