From the family, Amaryllidaceae, having common name(s) associated with the genus; Amaryllis crossed with Jacobian Lily, Saint James Lily, Orchid Lily, Aztec Lily, Mexican Scarlet Lily.

(Hippeastrum x Sprekelia formosissima) A very rare intergeneric cross between Hippeastrum and Sprekelia. A nice mix of characteristics from both parents with rich red flowers. EXCELLENT collector's plant in all planting zones with protection. Ht. 16-20 inches. Hardy in zones (7), 8, 9, 10.
