| Tulipa (Div XV) didieri |
| |
 |
Endemic to S. E. France, Dept. Savoie, where it occurred in two wild stations only, i.e. in the Tarantaise area near Aime and near St.-Jean-de- Maurienne, in the hamlet 'Les Clappeys'. Van Tubergen received this stock from the Baron Perrier de la Bathie at the beginning of the 20th Century. Flowers currant-red, points of the slender segments slightly deflexed. The exterior of outer segments tinged crimson. Center blackish-brown with a yellow margin. Foliage and stems slender. Flowers late in May. Ht. 8-12 inches. Learn MORE...
