Tulipa (Div XV) urumiensis

From the family, Liliaceae, having common name(s) associated with the genus; Tulip Species.

Coll by Anton Kronenburg in Eastern Turkey, near the Iranian border, early 20th C. Flowers 1 or 2, golden-yellow with bronze tinge on the exterior, resting on a rosette of lustrous green leaves. Tepals to 4 x 3/8 inch. Excellent for naturalizing. AGM.
