From the family, Liliaceae, having common name(s) associated with the genus; Tulip Species.

Raised by J. R. from T. vvedenskyi Z. Botsch. X T. berkariense J. Ruks. 'Morning Star'. Flowers large, inside light yellow, dark brown base with large bright red basal blotch. Outside red, with yellow edge. Leaves undulated, striped purple. when opening, later the stem elongates to 12 inches. Ht. 4 inches.
