Amaryllidaceae, having common name(s) associated with the genus; Daffodil, Jonquil.
(Section Apodanthae) From gardens. Flowers 1 to 4, uniform deep yellow, 1/2 inch diameter. Petals only 1/16 inch wide. Corona cup-shaped, curving in at the base and at the margin. Leaves glaucous, as long as the scape, narrow and usually minutely scabrid (having a rough edge). It needs a dry period in summer.
