From the family, Iridaceae, having common name(s) associated with the genus; Flag, Sword Lily.

Raised by E. B. Anderson from a cross between I. histrioides (G. F. Wils.) S. Arn.var. major Grey and I. winogradowii Fomin. Flowers large and rounded. Standards bluish-green, veined greenish-blue. Falls yellowish-green with slate-blue veins. Crests yellow with greenish edge. It is as if both parents become visible in this hybrid. Ht. 3-4 inches.
