Hyacinthoides hispanica 'Excelsior'

From the family, Hyacinthaceae, having common name(s) associated with the genus; Bluebell.

Raised by G.C. van Meeuwen of Heemstede and introduced in 1906. An excellent garden plant with tall sturdy racemes of large blue-violet flowers. Each segment with a marine-blue stripe. Ht. 16-20 inches.
