Received from the Rear-Admiral Paul Furse, who re-introduced so many fine bulbous plants from Iran and Afghanistan. This plant was collected by him in N. E. Iran, Khorassan Province, in the former Mohamad Reza Shah Pahlevi National Park, in 1966. Flowers 10 to 20, straw-yellow in a raceme. Tepals 1 9/16-2 1/8 inches long. The foliage is lustrous shining green. Bulbs eventually becoming as large as in F. imperialis. Ht. 16-28 inches.
