From the family, Iridaceae, having common name(s) associated with the genus; Snow Crocus.

Raised by Barr & Sons. Flowers buttercup- yellow. A brownish-purplish blotch at the base reaches more than two thirds up the segments outside. The segments are rather short and appear more rounded. Often flowers appear with more than six segments. early flowering. Ht. 3-4 inches.
