Araceae, having common name(s) associated with the genus; Lords and Ladies.
Originally from Sardinia. The only autumn-flowering species of Arum; the flowers resemble Arum nigrum, but the peduncle is very short and the spathe limb has a more pronounced sheen. The leaves are first deep, shiny green upon emergance, later towards the spring they become green with silvery grey veining, they are of good substance.
