Allium guttatum ssp. dalmaticum

From the family, Alliaceae, having common name(s) associated with the genus; Flowering Garlic, Onion.

The purple counterpart of A. g. ssp. sardoum; a swarm of offsprings comes from the hybrid seed, when the two subspecies are grown together. Flowers deep purple in dense umbels, 1.5-2 inches in diameter. The strong stems stand out for weeks in mid-summer. Ht. 20-28 inches.
