Liliaceae, having common name(s) associated with the genus; Tulip Species.
(syn. Amana edulis (Miq.) Honda) From gardens. The most easterly occurring tulip from China and Japan, better dealt with as a separate genus. Just below the flower the stem bears 2 or 4 long, thin bracts, 3/4-1 3/16 inches long. The most miniature of tulips. Flowers pale yellow, outside tinged with green. Perianth segments to 30 x 3/16 inch. Leaves prostrate, to 25 x 3/8 inch. Bulb lining densely hairy, stoloniferous.
