(syn. O. purpurata Jacq.var. bowiei (Lindl.) Sonder.) From gardens. Peduncles carrying 3 to 12 flowers, colored purple to pink, tubular/ bell-shaped, about 3/4 inch long. Leaves 3 to 12, trifoliate, with softly hairy margins and undersides, bright green. Stalks up to 10 inches long. Summer flowering. Tender. Ht. 6-10 inches.
