From the family, Hyacinthaceae, having common name(s) associated with the genus; Grape Hyacinth.

Previously offered as M. comosum 'Epirus Giant'. Coll. AH.8965 in N. Greece, Prov. Ioannina, Mt Grammos, in old orchard, bulbs 6-8 inches deep, 1300-1500 m alt, 14.05.1989. Most spectacular relative of the Tassel Hyacinth, much larger than any other Muscari, raceme up to 20 inches long, total.
