Todays most widespread (triploid) clone of the Tiger Lily was raised from a single bulb. It was selected for its larger flowers and the bold spotting. Also the flowers are stronger, more fiery reddish-orange. Leaves scattered, linear-lanceolate, dark shining green. Stem up to 7 feet, purplish-black, carrying numerous bulbils in axils of leaves. Very tolerant of virus. Ht. 84 inches.
