Davidii Elwes From gardens. Inflorescence long, pyramidal, carrying 5 to 20 flowers, of turk's cap shape. Pedicels to 6 inches, flowers pendulous, vermillion-scarlet with purple spots. Leaves in 1 or 2 whorls on the stem, linear, to 4 inch long, margins ciliate. Summer-flowering. Ht. 40-56 inches.
