Selected by W. R. Dykes and introduced by Barr & Sons Ltd, London. The darkest and largest flowered cultivar of C. speciosus. Flowers deep violet-blue (37/2) with prominent and even darker colored veins. When fully open the flowers can measure up to 4 inch across. Stigmata deep orange. Perianth tubes white, colored violet-blue only in uppermost part. Fragrant. Ht. 4-6 inches.
