Crocus (Spring) chrysanthus 'Herald'

From the family, Iridaceae, having common name(s) associated with the genus; Snow Crocus.

Raised by W.P. van Eeden. Outside outer segments plum-purple (79B), with narrow aureolin margin (12C-D). Flowers inside aureolin, slightly darker towards the base. Perianth tube light purplish. Early flowering, but rather shortly. Ht. 4-5 inches.
