From gardens. Flowers clear lilac-blue with a warm yellow center, at the base with a bluish suffusion on the outside of outer segments, fragrant. Closely ralated to C. flavus, to which it resembles in the dry state by its long papery brown neck. Equally it prefers to grow a little deeper than most crocuses. Ht. 2-4 inches.
