Araceae, having common name(s) associated with the genus; Lords and Ladies.
Stock donated to RBG. Kew by E. K. Balls in 1936. Spathe long and narrow, being held well above the leaves, externally pale green, stained with purple along the margin, interior purplish-red. Spadix pale yellow on opening of inflorescence, odorless. Leaves unmarked dark green, much narrower than in A. elongatum Steven. Ht. 16-26 inches.
