Arum nigrum

From the family, Araceae, having common name(s) associated with the genus; Lords and Ladies.

Zegarski Coll. CEH.524 in Rep. Croatia, Dalmatian Coastal Range, near Kastel Zegarski. Found growing on bare Karst plateau, tucked away deeply in cracks filled with terra rossa, at 125 m alt., 07.04.1982. Spathe satin-purple, almost black, spadix pale brown. Leaves glossy, deep green. A magnificant plant. only. Ht. 6-10 inches.
