From the family, Alliaceae, having common name(s) associated with the genus; Flowering Garlic, Onion.

From gardens. Flowers white with green stripes on reverse. Interesting triangular flower stems. From moist woodland soils in the Mediterranean region, where it revels and seeds abundantly. In cold districts a drier situation is preferable, including a good summer rest. Ht. 10-16 inches.
