From the family, Alliaceae, having common name(s) associated with the genus; Flowering Garlic, Onion.

Coll. AH. 8673 in Greece: Peloponnese, Taygetos Range, 900 m alt., 1986. Panicles elegant, 3 inches wide with soft chamois-brown, bell-shaped flowers on 0.5-1.5 inch long pedicels. Also good for cutting. Ht. 12-20 inches.
