A free-flowering selection from RM.8268, collected in C. Asia, Rep. Tadzhikistan, Pamir Highlands, near Dushanbe, 2500 m alt, in 1982. Named by J. R. after his close friend the late Michael Hoog. This vigorous clone has bulbs splitting frequently and flowering at quite small size. Flowers bright violet entirely. Umbels 4-5 inches across.
