Jan Bijl's magnificant cross of A. macleanii Bak. with A. christophii Trautv. Flowers aster-violet, umbel about 8 inches wide and very dense. When the first flush of flowers has faded new ones are formed, effectively covering the faded flowers. Leaves glossy green, persisting well. Ht. 32-36 inches.
